Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DBS) is an independent, ship's International Classification Society, dedicated to provide classification and statutory certification services to ships and other marine structures, with the objective of safeguarding life, property and the environment.

Building its work as an International Classification Society together with the strict formulation of the DBS Rules & Regulations resulted in the achievement of the society's acceptance by the Shipping Community as a reputable entity.

The aim for DBS is to ensure satisfaction of customers as a measure of confidence in the quality capability of the society by fully commitment to the Maritime Industry and deeply involved in the technical development and improvement of its services and standards.

DBS services are being provided under its Dromon Bureau of Shipping Quality Management System, assessed and registered against provisions of BS EN ISO 9000:2008.

The System covers Classification of ships and vessels as well as Statutory marine certification services on behalf of Flag Administrations.
